1. Who we are
YOUNIB (Youth Ever The Best and United for Peace) is a Catholic youth network founded in Sokodé, Togo, in 2012, and active in Togo, Kenya, Tanzania, and Madagascar. YOUNIB TV is our media channel sharing the movement's mission of interreligious brotherhood, mental health, and service to vulnerable young people. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through our website and social channels.
2. Information we collect
- Contact details you share with us — name, email, phone number — when you write, call, or volunteer.
- Messages and media you send us on email, WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, or YouTube.
- Basic technical data such as device type, browser, and approximate location, gathered through standard web logs and privacy-respecting analytics.
- Photos and videos taken at YOUNIB events, where attendees are informed in advance.
3. How we use your information
- Respond to questions, volunteer offers, and partnership requests.
- Share news about YOUNIB programs, events, and chapters.
- Improve our website, content, and outreach.
- Comply with legal obligations in the countries where we operate.
4. Sharing your information
We do not sell personal information. We share it only with trusted partners who help us run the movement (for example, email or hosting providers), with YOUNIB chapters when needed to coordinate service, and when required by law.
5. Children and young people
Many of those we serve are minors. We collect information about children only with the consent of a parent, guardian, or accompanying adult, and we keep it limited to what is needed for pastoral care and safeguarding.
6. Cookies and analytics
Our website uses a small number of cookies to remember preferences and to measure how pages are used. You can disable cookies in your browser at any time; some features may then not work as expected.
7. Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, or to stop sending you updates. Write to younibtv@gmail.com and we will respond within a reasonable time.
8. Data retention and security
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above, and we protect it with reasonable technical and organizational measures. No system is perfectly secure, but we take this responsibility seriously.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as YOUNIB grows. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. Please check back from time to time.
